I have called Burnaby home since childhood. I understand this city as a resident, condominium owner, public-sector professional and community volunteer — and I know City Council decisions are felt in daily life, from housing and safety to services, transportation and taxes. My experience in healthcare, policy and regulatory systems taught me to ask careful questions, work through complexity and focus on practical results. Serving on strata council, the Burnaby Community Safety Advisory Committee, the Overseas Korean Trade Association board and through the Burnaby Board of Trade has shown me how much stronger decisions become when residents, businesses and community organizations are heard early and treated respectfully. Through Care Without Barriers, I have also seen how language access and system navigation can determine whether people get the help they need. That is the lens I would bring to Council: listen first, explain choices clearly and make decisions that are accountable to the people who live here.
